What we do
Founded in 2016 in upstate NY by artist & educator Adam Kritzer, the Art Detectives develop & implement personalized art & arts integration programming for student-artists of all ages & abilities. ​

But what is arts integration? Arts integration is a way of utilizing the artmaking process in service of academic, social & emotional learning (SEL). Some people want to pursue a career in the arts, but others just want to enjoy making art while working towards complimentary goals in their lives. We have classes for both the aspiring professional & the hobbyist.
We facilitate singular creative opportunities for individuals to become better artists while developing SEL skills such as teamwork, motivation, goal-setting, optimism & communication. We are flexible in terms of curriculum, scheduling & delivery of service to meet the specific needs of each & every artist & family.

Each artist has unique interests, needs & goals. We believe in emergent, student-centered programming that sprouts naturally & evolves from the artist's blossoming curiosities. We think learning should be challenging & fun. We treat our artists seriously & with respect. We are co-learners & collaborators.

Some Art Detectives are painters. Others are yoga enthusiasts. Some are interested in working with cameras or learning a musical instrument. Others are experimenting with screenwriting & digital art. Some artists focus on one artform & others work with several. If you can dream it, we can do it!
