The Art detectives

Founded in 2016 by artist and educator Adam Kritzer, The Art Detectives develop and implement personalized art and arts integration programming for student-artists of all ages and abilities. Arts integration utilizes the artmaking process in service of social and emotional learning (SEL). The Art Detectives foster unique opportunities for individuals to enhance their artistic abilities while developing valuable SEL skills, such as teamwork, communication and goal-setting. Programs are tailored to meet each artist's specific needs, making art education accessible to everyone, whether aspiring professionals or hobbyists.

     

We facilitate singular creative opportunities for individuals to become better artists while developing SEL skills such as teamwork, motivation, goal-setting, optimism and communication. We are flexible in terms of curriculum, scheduling and delivery of service to meet the specific needs of each and every artist.

Each artist has unique interests, needs and goals. We believe in emergent, student-centered programming that sprouts naturally and evolves from the artist's blossoming curiosities. We think learning should be challenging and fun. We treat our artists seriously and with respect. We are co-learners and collaborators.

Some Art Detectives are painters. Others want to work with cameras or learn a musical instrument. Some want to experiment with screenwriting or animation. Others want to start their own businesses and become creative entrepreneurs. Some artists focus on one artform and others work with several. We create personalized plans that cater to the artist's interests, no matter what they are. We like to say, "If you can dream it, we can do it!"
